Good Girls Fight Dirty | Women's Self Defense

Meet Ms. Lovely
Ms. Lovely created Good Girls Fight Dirty because she wanted women to be harder to hurt. Originally from Charleston, SC, Ms. Lovely began boxing in college at Savannah’s renowned Jarrell’s Gym in 1997 and began training in mixed martial arts and Krav Maga in 2011. For more than a decade, she has trained with professional fighters, high-level martial artists, law enforcement, and military personnel, building a combat-focused approach to self-defense grounded in real-world fighting. In 2022 she partnered with fellow martial artists to launch GGFD. Her philosophy is simple: Start a war against fear and give every woman a fighting chance!
About GGFD
The Purpose
The Technique
Good Girls Fight Dirty exists for one reason: every woman deserves a fighting chance.
We train women and youth to fight hard, intelligently, and without hesitation when necessary. Our mission isn't to teach women to live in fear, but to make them harder to hurt, harder to intimidate, and harder to break.
GGFD builds fighters who can recognize danger, stay calm under pressure, defend themselves when necessary, and keep fighting when their instincts tell them to freeze.
Being a good girl doesn't mean being a soft target.
We're not teaching women to live in fear. We're starting a war against it.
Good Girls Fight Dirty is a women-focused self-defense system based heavily on the principles of Krav Maga, adapted to the physical realities and defensive needs of women.
Our approach emphasizes simple, practical, instinctive techniques that are easy to learn, remember, and execute under stress.
Rather than relying on strength, flexibility, athletic ability, or years of training, GGFD focuses on techniques that:
-
Work under stress and resistance.
-
Remain effective against larger or stronger attackers.
-
Can realistically be learned, performed, and retained by the average woman.
-
Use natural movement, positioning, leverage, timing, and efficient energy.
Every technique is selected or developed with one goal: giving women practical ways to defend themselves, even when facing a physical disadvantage.
